La Luna De Miel Dia 4: Flora Farms & Pool Day

After all the hustle and bustle from the last couple days Ciera and Myself were in much need of a relaxing pool day. We slept in till about 10am and made our way into town for a couple necessities. One of which was a bottle of tequila!

We drove the car into town and stopped for a coffee, only about $2 for an iced mocha! After that, we set out, and instantly discovered a specialty tequila shop. It was so good and after the free shots of course we bought a bottle. Then we picked up the rest of our needed items. We had things on our list like margarita mix, shot glasses, a big hat and salsa. You know, the necessities for a perfect Cabo trip.

We finally made our way down to our hotel pool and scored a nice quite spot at the lower pool. Ciera and I quickly stretched out on some comfy pool beds while sipping our homemade margaritas. We both took naps and danced around in the shallow pool before ordering a cheeseburger to share.

We knew we were in for a big meal on this night as we were heading to Flora Farms! A delicious farm to table restaurant in the north east hills of San José del Cabo. After we were completely rested up, we got cleaned up and put our best packed outfits on.

It was about an hour drive to Flora Farms from our hotel and yes, we needed the help of the google. On the way we came across so many roundabouts, we could of got seriously lost! Once arriving to Flora Farms we were so impressed with the garden, property layout, and overall design of the place, we knew we were in good hands.

We were greeted by the host and learned we were the first to be served as they were just opening. Oh, By the way you need to make reservations to this place. The Hostess showed us the bar were we had some the best and freshest cocktails, which were so refreshing in the desert heat!

This place had the best service, we were seated promptly and were given cool and damp wash clothes to wipe ourselves down before ordering. After we made our selection the waiter brought out some “complements of the chef” appetizers not once but three times throughout our meal. All of it was so delicious!

For starters we opened our pallet to creamy head cheese, shots of raw tuna wrapped in thinly sliced cucumber and smothered in Bloody Mary style tomato sauce and finished up appetizer round with a Mozzarella ball stuffed with ricotta cheese, so good! For main course we had Grilled Mexican Corn, Swiss Chard, and Pork Shoulder that fell apart when you simply touched it. Then we wrapped things up with Lavender Lemon Tart and Ginger Orange Ice Cream and the Chef though in Some Churros with Melted Fudge Sauce and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. Yum and Yum.

That completed the day for us as we went back to our home base, the Playa Grande Resort, and went into a deep food coma with grins on our faces.
